The club voted early this year to move the picnic up one month, due to the extreme cold spell we had at last year's picnic. So here are the details.... For those unfamilar with the location of Union Christian Church, it's on 1267 East County Road 300 South, south of Franklin. You can click here for a map and driving directions. County Road 300 South can be reached by taking 31 to Nineveh Road in Franklin, and taking Nineveh Road to 300 South. The church can also be reached by taking State Road 135 south to 300 South, and turning Left. For our friends down south, you can reach County Road 300 South by taking Nineveh Road north from State Road 252. The above link should give you detailed and accurate directions from any point you wish. The church is on the south side of the road. We hope to see everyone there! Don't miss the fun! Posted 11:04 AM by Matt Tuesday, August 02, 2005N9DE, SKBob DeSpain, N9DE, passed away on Sunday. He was a former RACES director, and was regarded as one of the founders and local experts in the field of Packet Radio. Bob was an expert in computers and computer programming, and was always willing to lend a helping hand to fellow amateurs. The airwaves will be a little less friendly, without his distinctive "N9DE, Greenwood" on them. We'll all miss you, Bob! Posted 6:45 AM by Matt |
