The Mid-State Amateur Radio Club

Franklin, Indiana

“Serving Central Indiana Communities for Twenty-Six Years”

Ham Radio Class 2010 in the planning stages. Let us know if you are interested!

The Mid-State Amateur Radio Club is planning to hold another technician class during the first half of 2010. The location and exact dates are to be decided. Classes traditionally have met for four (4) weekly sessions, and generally last two (2) hours each session. The class is designed to teach interested people all of the material needed to pass the technician class amateur radio exam. The entire class will consist of four weekly two-hour sessions. There will be opportunity after each class to ask questions, get hands-on demonstrations of useful and interesting ham skills.

Classes are limited to 14 students, so please call Linda (class facilitator) at 317-887-2558 to register. Testing is available on the last night of class if enough students are ready to test.

Classes are free. All students must have a copy of the book, "The ARRL Ham Radio License Manual" available from the ARRL. Advance orders for the textbooks can also be made by calling the class facilitator. Morse code knowledge and proficiency is NO LONGER REQUIRED!

Topics covered include:
