Volunteer Examiners and TestingThe Mid-State Amateur Radio Club offers ARRL Volunteer Exam sessions immediately following the club meeting. Tests are held starting at approximately Nine O-Clock AM in the basement of the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center, located at 1111 Hospital Road, in Franklin. The Law Enforcement Center is just south of Johnson Memorial Hospital, and near to U.S. 31 South. Maps from Yahoo and Mapquest are available. Advance warning of special accommodations would be appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to contact the VE Team Coordinator. The current ARRL testing fee is $15.00 payable at the time of exam. You will need two copies of your amateur radio license and a state or federally issued ID to participate in a testing session. Testing will be provided during the Columbus, Indiana Hamfest, held on the 31st of March, 2012; presumably at the Bartholomew County Fairgrounds. The exam session will start at 11:00 AM, and the same guidelines will apply (2 copies of license, ID, etc.) Please follow the signs to the testing site, or contact a field day representative on site for directions. Testing will also be available at the conclusion of any scheduled Mid-State Amateur Radio Club amateur radio classes. |
