MARC Monthly Meetings

Meetings are at 8 am on the 3rd Saturday

(Except for the September picnic at noon.)

Club meetings are once again being held at the Johnson County REMC building, 750 International Dr. in Franklin. If the visitor lot on the south side of the building is full, we have been told to use the employee parking lot on the east side. Do not park on the shoulder of International Drive or on any grassy areas or nearby buisnesses.

We offer VE Testing after every meeting except in September and December.

MARC is a General Interest Amateur Radio Club located in Franklin Indiana, our repeaters are on 146.835 MHz with a 151.4 PL, and 443.525 MHz also with a 151.4 PL tone, and are located in Greenwood, Indiana, at Olive Branch Road and S.R. 135. Our repeater is the Official SKYWARN Repeater for Johnson County, Indiana.  

Weekly VHF Net...  The Mid-State Amateur Radio Club's Net meets on Sunday nights at 7:00 pm.  This is an open net and all licensed amateurs are invited and encouraged to participate.  (See above for frequency info).

MARC Membership...  Membership in the MidState Amateur Radio Club is open to anyone with an interest in Amateur Radio.  Membership dues are $25.00 dollars per year and are due annually in January.  You do not have to be a licensed amateur to be a member of M.A.R.C.  If you would like to join our club or renew your membership, please contact This email address is being protected from spambots. The Amateur Radio Service (Ham Radio) is a federally licensed and administered service.  Anyone, regardless of age, can get a license. After successfully passing an exam, you will be given a call sign. Once licensed, ham radio operators use their radio stations to make contacts around the world.

Ham radio is one of the most exciting, friendly, useful, educational and high-tech hobbies around.  Hams include a diverse group of people around the world -- engineers, scientists, doctors, astronauts, students, teachers, boaters, pilots, retirees and famous celebrities. You never know who you're going to talk to on-the-air next.

 Pay Annual Dues ($25.00)

At the November 2021 meeting, the Club voted to increase the annual dues to $25.00. The dues have not been raised for at least twenty years, and the current dues do not cover the increases in several annual expenses that the Club pays. After you input the amount and go to the next page, click on the "Comments" link and add your call sign and that you are paying your annual dues.
